Abstract:
This paper studies the architecture of the “Gongshi Liquor Cellar”of Song dynasty, based on the excavation of the site located at the Nanyue Kingdom Palace in Guangzhou. Using the reconstruction methods of architectural archaeology, this paper reveals the layout of the site and the construction ruler used to construct the buildings, and produces the possible design for each individual building. The results of the research may enrich the understanding of not only this particular archaeological site, but also the special building types of Gongshi Warehouses of Song dynasty.
