Abstract:
This paper critically reviews existing scholarly perspectives on the style and dating of the revolving sutra cabinet at Longxing Temple, Zhengding County. It integrates historical construction and restoration records, along with on-site observations of ink traces and recent radiocarbon dating results, to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the cabinet’s multifaceted historical imprints. Structural elements predating the Yuan dynasty are identified, and recurring restoration patterns throughout its history are elucidated.
