Abstract: This paper aims to provide a comprehensivereview of the investigations and research on the XuanluoHall conducted by the Society for Research in ChineseArchitecture, highlighting the valuable academiccontributions. Moreover, it also examines the subsequentalterations made to the Xuanluo Hall after 1940s to wardoff any potential misinterpretation of its original state.By delving into the original design principles behindthe Xuanluo Hall and introducing new insights, thispaper contributes to a more holistic understanding of itshistorical and cultural significance.
