Control Study of a Double-Load VIENNA-Type Rectifier

  • PCHD mathematical model was established according to the topology of double-load VIENNA-type rectifier. A passive hybrid-control strategy between passive controller for grid AC current and PI controller for DC voltage was presented. Based on PCHD mathematical model, the passive current-controller was designed with the method of interconnection and damping assignment, thus grid AC current can be fast to given value and ensure the stability of the rectifier. Simulation results show that passive hybrid-control strategy based on PCHD mathematical model not only make DC voltage to be a given value fast, but also can achieve sinusoidal grid AC current, the unity power factor and good robustness to load change.
