Overview of the Developments on High Power Electronic Technologies and Applications in China

  • High power electronic technologies utilize high power semiconductor devices and implement effective conversion and transmission of electric energy through the precise control of energy flow by information flow. Amounts of high power electronic equipment have been widely used in many important applications such as electric energy saving, renewable energy generation, electric traction, smart grid, military industry, etc., and play significant role in economic production and national security. This paper analyzes the latest progresses of high power electronic technologies and applications, and compares the current situations of high power electronic researches in domestic and overseas. On this basis, the future development trends of high power electronic technologies and the strategies which China should adopt are discussed and proposed.
