A Torque Ripple Suppression Strategy for the Three Regions PWM-DITC Permanent Magnet Assisted Reluctance Motor

  • Aiming at the problem of large torque ripple of permanent magnet assisted reluctance motor, a control method of suppressing torque ripple with fixed frequency between partitions is proposed. Firstly, according to the inductance characteristics of the reluctance motor, the two-phase exchange area is subdivided into two regions, which together with the single-phase conduction area constitute three regions on the pole distance of a rotor. Secondly, the triangular carrier fixed sampling frequency is used to reduce the torque pulsation and peak current in the two-phase switching region with different control strategies combined with the output characteristics of each region. Finally, a 6/20 permanent magnet assisted external rotor motor is used to simulate and verify the three regions PWM-DITC method. The results show that compared with the traditional DITC control strategy, the proposed method can effectively reduce the torque ripple and the peak current in the two-phase exchange region of the permanent magnet assisted reluctance motor.
