Research on Battery Simulator Based on Bidirectional Interleaving Parallel Converter

  • Factors such as safety, convenience, test time and hardware cost should be taken into consideration when testing power lithium battery. The nonlinear battery model is combined with the power electronic switching device under the premise of ensuring the test accuracy. Based on the third-order RC battery model, the staggered parallel buck-boost converter is used as the main circuit topology of the battery simulator to replace the real power battery. Firstly, the battery equivalent circuit model and its parameter identification principle are analyzed. Secondly, the operating principle of the battery simulator and the control strategy of the bidirectional staggered parallel Buck-boost converter are studied, and the controller parameters are designed. Finally, an experimental platform for battery simulator is built. The experimental results show that the battery simulator can simulate the external volt-ampere characteristics of the battery with high accuracy and meet the test requirements for lithium ion power battery.
