High Gain Coupled Inductance Combination Boost-Cuk Converter

  • For the sake of solving the problem of low voltage gain of the traditional converter, by combining a Boost converter and a Cuk converter, and the voltage gain is elevated by using coupled inductance voltage doubling technology. The proposed Boost-Cuk converter retains the continuity of the output current of the Cuk converter, the new structure uses passive clam to assimilate the leakage energy, which plays a certain constraint on the voltage spike caused by the parasitic capacitance and leakage resonance, and decrease the voltage stress of the power switch. The specialty of the converter in CCM pattern are described, then the parameter design is made for the proposed converter. At last, a 100 W experimental prototype is established to verify the correctness of the theory.
