A Medium Voltage Power Conversion System for Offshore Wind Turbine Based on Matrix Converter

摘要: 矩阵变换器是一种新型交-交直接功率变换器,不需要中间直流环节,能够产生正弦的输入输出电流,并且输入功率因数和输出频率可调,具有能量双向流动特性,因此矩阵变换器在未来中压大功率海上风电中具有良好的应用前景。研究了一种基于三相-单相矩阵变换器的模块化变换器在海上风电中的应用,并对其控制策略进行了研究,该变换器随着级联单元数的不同可以输出任意多电平波形,相比于传统的级联H桥变流器,它没有中间的直流电容,所以显著提高了变流器的功率密度。最后利用Matlab/Simulink搭建了利用该变换器的永磁直驱型风机仿真模型,并对其拓扑和控制策略的有效性进行了验证。Abstract: The matrix converter is a new type of AC-AC direct power converter. It can generate sinusoidal input and output current without an intermediate DC link. Moreover, the input power factor and output frequency are adjustable, and it has the characteristics of energy bidirectional flow. Therefore, the matrix converter has a good application prospect in medium voltage and high-power offshore wind power in the future. In this paper, a modular converter based on three phase to single phase matrix converter and a control strategy are studied to meet the application of offshore wind power, the converter can output arbitrary multilevel waveforms with different number of cascaded units, compared with the traditional cascaded H-bridge converter, it has no intermediate DC capacitor, so it significantly improves the power density of the converter. Finally, the simulation model of permanent magnet direct drive wind turbine using the converter is built in Matlab/Simulink, and the validity of the proposed topology and control strategy is verified.
