Abstract: Market regulation is an important part of power market construction and an indispensable link in a mature power market. With the deepening reform of China’s electricity market, the market players are more diversified, the market transaction scale is continuously expanded, and the trading varieties and trading cycles are more abundant. How to supervise the electricity market scientifically and reasonably so as to promote the healthy and orderly development of the electricity market is problems that need to be solved urgently. Therefore, from the perspective of market model, regulatory model and regulatory legal system, the characteristics of power market supervision in UK and USA are analyzed. By drawing on the experience of supervision in foreign markets and comprehensively considering China’s conditions, relevant suggestions for China’s power market supervision are put forward.
